David Cradduck started as a freelance graphic designer in 1977 and the business quickly grew to two people, then four and by the 1980s this leading studio had 14 employees ranging from visualisers and graphic designers to paste-up artists (as they were known then) with in-house typesetting – soon to become imagesetting with the advent of the Apple Mac. A sole trader until the mid 80s, Cradducks became a partnership, then 15 years later a limited company.

Times and technology may have changed over the past 30 years, but good graphic design is still very much a creative industry and is not the ‘commodity’ some people would have us believe.

Now settled in The Old Stables, a 1,600 sq ft converted barn in Bishops Sutton, near Alresford, Hampshire (boasting a 52 square metre window on one wall!), Cradducks comprises a talented team of seven people with a combined tally of nearly 130 years in the graphics industry.

The most frequently used word used to describe our portfolio of work and clients is ‘versatile’.  We do not have a minimum or a maximum job range – we do everything from business cards upwards. In addition we offer a one-stop service to include everything from concept to delivery, be it a simple printed flyer or a fully functional website.
